Our School

Veteran Adjusting School was founded in 2012 and has been certifying “VAS Trained Insurance Adjusters” from all over the nation since then. Our students’ careers were varied before beginning the VAS Program. They began as contractors looking for work, entrepreneurs looking for new careers, vets and others with no experience in the art of insurance claims adjusting.

Today, VAS Trained graduates are actively working as Insurance Adjusters and making good money doing so. Veteran Adjusting School is open to anyone interested in becoming an Insurance Adjuster.

Our Credentials

Licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education as Vocational School #V1531.

Approved for Veteran’s Educational Benefits/ GI Bill®

Our Curriculum

The VAS-Trained Insurance Adjuster program takes the student from “What is Insurance adjusting” to being fully prepared for deployment in 6 weeks. The program combines both classroom learning and experiential learning in the field during their onsite program.

The program objective is to educate the student to the degree of competency that will enable him/her to systematically and professionally perform the skills required to be gainfully employed. To verify that the student has the knowledge, training, professional employment package, and tools necessary to be considered “deployment ready” when applying for employment in the catastrophe & day claims adjusting industry.

Matthew Crozier

Instructor

Matthew began his journey as an adjuster after working for 20 years as a Landscape Contractor. He can relate with students who are starting a new career and he has proven the success of VAS Training in the field. Matthew graduated from VAS in 2017 and was immediately deployed as a CAT Adjuster for Hurricane Irma (Florida) and then again in 2018 for Hurricane Florence (North Carolina). After returning home to Arizona, he worked daily residential and commercial claims for several different adjusting firms. Utilizing the VAS “process”, Matthew quickly gained the respect of his file reviewers and claim managers. In 2019, Matthew was recruited by an Adjusting firm to handle large loss commercial file reviews from home while still working occasional daily claims in the area. He looks forward to sharing his experience and knowledge with new students to be the best that they can be in the adjusting industry. Matthew enjoys teaching and is a Certified Higher Education Professional (CHEP) awarded by Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU)

Scott Limbacher

Instructor

After leaving the Army National Guard, Scott enrolled in our first class at Veteran Adjusting School in 2013. After a year and a half of working as a field adjuster with CAT and day
claims, Scott attained an inside position with one of the VAS partners. There he gained invaluable knowledge and understanding of the back end of the claims process. Scott’s experience as a file reviewer for various carriers has taught him vital information about the entire claims process and how to submit a consistent product every time. Scott teaches students what is needed on the front end to ensure that a claim can be closed quickly and correctly after the initial inspection. Scott enjoys teaching and is a Certified Higher Education Professional (CHEP).
