VAS is definitely as advertised. In fact, they probably offer more than you’re currently expecting from the training, mentoring, and resources aspect. Before attending the training I wouldn’t have believed I could have accomplished the objectives set out in the training.  But through the knowledge of the instructors and the phenomenal way the training is delivered, even the most inexperienced person is provided with the tools needed to succeed.  I am so grateful that VAS was available and that I was able to attend. The lessons were spot on and definitely have prepared me to be effective in the field right away.

As a Veteran, I was a bit nervous about my transition out of the military.  When I started my research on future employment I had no idea what industry was right for me or the skills that I’d spent 20 years attaining.  When I chose insurance adjusting I had no clue what that really meant until I came across the VAS website.  From that point on the transition from Active Duty to VAS student to CAT adjuster has been an extremely smooth one.

If you are concerned about opportunities once you graduate from VAS, I’d acknowledge those concerns are warranted.  However, trust the Instructors and former students when they say there are plenty of opportunities in this field.  Whether you choose to work as an Independent Adjuster or as a Staff Adjuster (as I currently am), you will definitely be more than prepared, have skills above and beyond even some of the most seasoned adjusters, and have the opportunity to make GREAT money.

MEET VAS GRADUATE JUSTIN

Justin went to school at (VAS) Veteran Adjusting School and was working within 12 days of graduation. That’s because VAS provides job placement for their graduates with their 15 (and growing) trusted insurance partners. Since Justin graduated from Veteran Adjusting School, he makes his own hours as an independent adjuster.

VAS is the most thorough insurance adjuster training program. In Justin’s own words, “They left no stone unturned.” Within 6 weeks the student has the skills of an adjuster who can work day claims, staff, or catastrophe adjusting.

CAT Adjusting

When a catastrophic event (hurricane, hail storm, etc.) hits, insurance agencies send out CAT adjusters to assess the damages and see how much money their homeowners are entitled to under their policy. VAS focuses on CAT adjusting because it is the maximum training and highest paying with the potential to make $70,000 – $100,000 in 6-9 months.

The Veteran Adjusting School’s course includes:
  • 30 Adjuster Subjects Taught
  • 40 Real World Claims
  • Xactimate Level 2 Training
  • Mentorship Through & Even After Graduation
  • In-the-field Adjuster Training
  • Laptop & Tools
  • And More

VAS Mentors

Veteran Adjusting School’s mentors give the student an invaluable resource of knowledge throughout the education. VAS mentors help the student through the course, through licensing, and even through their first claims in the field.

Storm Simulations

VAS provides real-world simulations that deliver a hands-on experience for the student. This allows for a more “on the job” practice which helps clear up any questions a student might have when estimating a claim on their own.

KRIS NELSON’S TESTIMONIAL AFTER VETERAN ADJUSTING SCHOOL GRADUATION

We just wanted to share a letter we recently received from one of the graduates of Veteran Adjusting School.  Kris wrote in to tell us how the experience has been.  If you have been wanting to hear about our program from someone with a first-hand knowledge check out the letter below.  We will let the letter speak for itself.

Kris writes…

Hey Guys,

Just a quick note to say you’re the best teachers and mentors I’ve ever had. I never knew how much I would love being an adjuster.  Now that I’ve completed the VAS trained adjuster program and have been working I’m well on my way. Being from California it took a while to get started running day claims, but with the help of one of your VAS partnering IA firms I’ve started getting a steady stream of claims.

With storm season well under way…now I can really show my employers all I’ve learned from you and all you’ve done to make me a VAS trained adjuster.  I continue running claims as they come in and keep working with the full year subscription to Xactimate you provided as part of my tuition.

On that note, I researched other adjuster training schools before signing up to the VAS Trained  vocational school and I can honestly say none of them provided the student with a new computer and a full year’s subscription to Xactimate. Not to mention the mentorship when I got my first few claims.

Gary, I also want to say thank you so much for taking me to Boise to work with you for a week or so. Actually seeing and touching damage really helped.

Thank you, thank you, thank you my friends and family at Veteran Adjusting School

Kris N.
